Kay is an Assistant Professor of Acting at Northern Illinois University and a member of The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She holds an M.Phil. in Irish Theatre and Film Studies from Trinity College in Dublin and a Ph.D. in Theatre Historiography from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
